What is the maintenance checklist for rotary gates?

Dec 17, 2024

1, Preparation work before maintenance

Before carrying out maintenance on the rotary gate, the following preparations need to be made:

Notify relevant personnel: Notify Party A or users in advance to ensure that the rotating gate can be stopped during maintenance to avoid affecting personnel access.

Set up safety warnings: Install guardrails and stop use signs on both sides of the revolving gate to ensure safety during maintenance.

Prepare tools and materials: Prepare necessary tools (such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, lubricants, cleaning agents, etc.) and materials (such as replacement parts, sensors, etc.) according to maintenance needs.

2, Appearance and structural inspection

Appearance inspection: Check whether the appearance of the rotary gate is intact, whether there are scratches, deformations or damages. Any issues discovered should be promptly recorded and addressed.

Structural inspection: Check whether the various components of the rotary gate are tightly connected and whether the bolts are loose. For loose bolts, they should be tightened in a timely manner to ensure the stability of the structure.

3, Driver and motor maintenance

Motor inspection: Check the operating status of the motor, including noise, vibration, and temperature. For abnormal motors, they should be stopped for inspection and repair in a timely manner.

Transmission system inspection: Check the wear of transmission components such as transmission belts, gears, bearings, etc. For severely worn components, they should be replaced in a timely manner.

Cleaning and lubrication: Regularly clean the motor and transmission components to remove oil and dust. At the same time, lubricate the parts that require lubrication to ensure smooth transmission.

4, Sensor and control system maintenance

Sensor inspection: Check if photoelectric sensors, infrared sensors, etc. are installed correctly, if their positions are accurate, and if they are obstructed. For abnormal sensors, they should be adjusted or replaced in a timely manner.

Control system inspection: Check the operating status of control system components such as access control controllers and power supplies. For faulty control components, they should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.

Data recording and inspection: Check whether the recorded data of the access control system is accurate, including access records, alarm records, etc. For inaccurate data, sensors and data processing modules should be checked to ensure the accuracy of the data.

5, Safety devices and emergency measures

Safety sign inspection: Check whether the safety signs on the rotary gate are clear and visible, and whether they are detached or damaged. For vague markings, they should be replaced in a timely manner.

Emergency stop button inspection: Check whether the emergency stop button is working properly, whether it is damaged or malfunctioning. For abnormal buttons, they should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.

Anti pinch device inspection: Check whether the anti pinch device of the rotating gate is working properly, including the horizontal anti pinch sensor, door post anti pinch sensor, etc. For abnormal anti pinch devices, they should be adjusted or replaced in a timely manner.

6, Functional testing and adjustment

Running status test: Test whether the opening, closing, locking and other functions of the rotary gate are normal. For abnormal functions, they should be adjusted or repaired in a timely manner.

Speed adjustment: Adjust the opening and closing speed of the rotary gate according to actual needs to ensure traffic efficiency and safety.

Simulation test: Simulate emergency situations such as fire alarms and power outages to test whether the rotating gate can automatically stop at the evacuation position, ensuring the safety of personnel in emergency situations.

7, Maintenance and upkeep records

After each maintenance, detailed records should be kept of the maintenance content, time, maintenance personnel, as well as the problems discovered and their solutions. This helps track the maintenance history of the equipment, identify potential issues in a timely manner, and provide reference for future maintenance work.

8, Regular maintenance plan

In order to ensure the long-term stable operation of the rotary gate, a regular maintenance plan should be developed. Based on the actual usage of the equipment and the manufacturer's recommendations, set a reasonable maintenance cycle and strictly implement it. At the same time, regular training should be provided to maintenance personnel to enhance their professional skills and safety awareness.
